Convert SNES PAR Codes to Game Genie CodesConvert SNES PAR Codes to Game Genie CodesThis was written by: Tony Hedstrom t.hed@excite.comThis document explains how to convert from SNES PARcodes to GG codes. (PAR = Pro Action Replay).Take your SNES PAR code and add a colon betweenthe sixth and seventh digits like this. Before: 7FE5C4FFAfter: 7FE5C4:FFNow just take the PAR code with the colon in it andenter it into a program called 'gg-hex.exe'. The program should give you your new GG code. You can download the 'gg-hex' program from this link:can also use a different one besides the 'gg-hex'program. You can download it from my site. It's thefirst one listed in the 'Downloads' section.Tony HedstromP.S.

One last note: SNES PAR codes that begin with '7E'will NOT work on a real SNES Game Genie (but theywill work ok with an emulator).

If you know some useful ones, feel free to post them here. Feel free to post code requests here too. From time to time, I will repost some of the codes I made.
Action Replay Gamecube Codes
Someone asked me recently if I could find a way to 'unlock' the Retry mode without having to complete the game, so I made a Game Genie code for that purpose: GG code that unlocks the Retry and Gift modes: D6DD-FADD (tested on the US ROM, but it probably works on the other versions too) Input this code (don't forget the hyphen), reset the game = the 'Retry' and 'Gift' modes should be unlocked. I tested this code with ZSNES (Cheat menu) and it worked fine. There might be some problems with SNES9x though.
Tell me if it doesn't work for you, I'll try to find a solution. (Lufia 2, Yu-Gi-Oh! Dark Duel Stories)From: suicune girl Posted: 5/23/2004 1:07:50 AMI tested the code on both Zsnes and Snes9x, it only worked on Zsnes. Something to do with the code length, I think. I found Snes9x doesn't respond well to GG codes. When you enter the code and click on 'Add', do you get this: Address: 700000 Value: 00? - (Lufia 2, Yu-Gi-Oh! Dark Duel Stories)From: rking Posted: 5/24/2004 3:30:58 PMI've got a request, I'm looking for a level-up code. Somewhat like gain one level after battle or get 10,000 exp after battle. I want to gain a couple levels (no purpose, just want to), but honestly, I'm feeling a bit lazy now. If anyone has anything that might work, please post. Thanks. From: suicune girl Posted: 5/24/2004 4:18:36 PMI see.
I was using an earlier copy of Snes9x. It's easier for me to use older versions instead of 1.42. The DOS versions of ZSNES run more smoothly on my PC than the Windows versions, or than Snes9x. It seems to me that ZSNES for DOS is even faster than a lot of NES emulators! - (Lufia 2, Yu-Gi-Oh! Dark Duel Stories)From: heavyarms525 Posted: 5/25/2004 2:32:42 PMHmm.
I want a code that begins the game as Maxim with full Divine Armor, Dual Blade, Evil Jewel.Cursed., and a Rocket Ring. =) - Royal God Emperor Heavyarms52534 Of the Lufia 2 Board: Helping newbs and smashing n00bs since 2000!From: rking Posted: 5/25/2004 2:34:51 PMHow about one that lets Maxim use fire-based spells? From: relnqshd Posted: 5/26/2004 12:40:34 PMFrom: heavyarms525 Posted: 5/25/2004 3:32:42 PM I want a code that begins the game as Maxim with full Divine Armor, Dual Blade, Evil Jewel.Cursed., and a Rocket Ring. Since that would have required at least 10 codes, I made an IPS patch instead: The 'Good Start' Patch for Lufia 2 US Maxim starts with: - Dual blade - Pearl armor - Pearl shield - Pearl helmet - Rocket ring (an Egg ring would have been better though. =P) - Evil jewel (cursed) - 10 Miracles Usage: - unzip the patch - give it the same name as you Lufia 2 ROM - move it to your ROM directory - start a new game Are you satisfied? =). From: rking Posted: 5/25/2004 3:34:51 PM How about one that lets Maxim use fire-based spells?
Game Genie codes for Lufia 2 US: Maxim can learn Spark 98EF-3121 Maxim can learn Fireball 98E7-3591 Maxim can learn Firebird 98E9-3521 Usage: - enter one of these codes - buy the corresponding spell - save the game - that's all. You can disable the code. BONUS! Game Genie code for Lufia 2 US: Start with Maxim at level 99 1788-CFB0 Usage: - enter this code - start a new game - that's all. You can disable the code - (Lufia 2, Yu-Gi-Oh! Dark Duel Stories)From: gedowski Posted: 5/28/2004 2:25:18 AMGreat codes relnqshd!
