Very good entry level GPS device. While prying mine up, I noticed that their was a thin dark gray plastic wrap around the batter and I simply ran a razor blade on both ends to cut the wrap, then pulling up the wrap was very simply.
In any case, I may attempt the hardware mod if I get antsy enough for a little project. Anyone come up with the stereo wiring yet? Maybe Mio upgraded the battery after some customer feedback? It seems to feature some traffic monitoring and input option stuff that might account for the space and missing components on our circuit c328.I still got my soldering iron and the plug i bought from radioshack.Kind of sounding like Mio is installing whatever batteries they can get their hands on and who would complain, unless, like Doug you found a mAh battery inside.
